CITY DESCRIPTION: SAN ANTONIO de ARECO is in the north of the Province of Buenos Aires about 75 Miles north of Buenos Aires. It is a smaller town with about 19,000 inhabitants. Founded in the 18th century, there are a lot of older churches and other architecture reflecting its colonial past. It really is an interesting town to walk through that gives one a good feeling about Argentina's past. It has frequent and direct train service from Buenos Aires. There is a good selection of hotels, restaurants, and camping areas available for the tourist.
